The Nevada Aviation Association was originally formed on 2005 as an association of airport executives, originally called the Nevada Airport Manager Association. The original purpose of the association was for airport managers to come together to share ideas and assist one another with the challenges associated with managing and operating and airport. As the organization grew to include City and County managers, planning and engineering consultants, the name was changed to the Nevada Airports Association.
In October of 2020, NVAA developed a new mission to promote and support Nevada’s airports and the larger aviation community. The Board of Directors voted and the name was changed to the Nevada Aviation Association. The membership expanded to include providers of aviation related products and services; airline, helicopter, unmanned autonomous vehicles and fixed-based operators, charter companies and other aviation related organizations and agencies. The Nevada Aviation Association welcomes anyone interested in airports or aviation around the State of Nevada.
